Bryats Band video clip Vivaldi
"Bryats-Band" -- it is tree balalaikas, accordion and four talented boys with conservatoire education which after two years of their existence have amazed all Europe and Asia. History of this band originates in 2003, when four students from conservatory of Kiev (Sergey Trotsenko (accordion), Igor Nerovniu (prima-balalaika), Eugene Kazantsev (al't-balalaika ) and Oleg Shaman (bass-balalaika)) have gathered in a group, in order to give concerts in different restaurants of Kiev. And they've made it not only for satisfying of their own desires, but for realization of great musical talent. And as a result, "Bryats-Band" gave to an audience all their positive emotions. Classical and World hits were taken for the base and than altered on original sound with unique arrangement. This style was called "creative fudging" and it is played on tree balalaikas and one accordion. And glory has not kept itself waiting long. It was real furor. In 2003 "Bryats-Band" took part in the International Competition in Slovenia and won it. The same year musicians produced their debut album (in general, boys already have two discs). In a year "Bryats-Band" was performing on the stage of "Freedom" during three months. Also boys were invited on "Slavyantskiy Bazar" as guests of honour. We must admit, that "Bryats-Band" still has lot of tours. They are always welcome guests in Italy, Germany, Latvia, Russia and even Iran. And as musicians admit, tastes of Ukrainian and foreigners are different. While concerts in Europe an audience just stands still when they hear how "Bryats-Band" playing masterpieces of Beethoven or Bah. But our audience just get mad when they see four boys in original costumes (designed by Svetlana Vorchak) and with balalaikas and an accordion in their hands. Musicians are playing popular melodies in a new style hopping in a step. And to be honest, for boys it's just a beginning of the long way with lots of achievements. "Bryats-Band" is going to write and sing their own songs and expend contacts in Europe. And the other important thing -- musicians make their rehearsals three or four times a week. In a word - conservatoire education and there's nothing to be done about it.
